Symplicity Announces New Features in Student Recruitment and Admissions CRM

Symplicity today announced the winter update of Ascend, the company’s cloud-based admissions CRM and application management platform.

Several new updates to the Campaign Manager, including increased filters to set and monitor automated and queued communication, and an updated “to-do” list feature, will allow recruitment staff to more effectively manage prospect outreach and develop more custom campaigns.

Subprograms will permit applicants to submit multiple applications to the same program, while automatically copying settings and emails from the parent program, allowing for a more streamlined application process. Supplemental forms will also enable managers to tie customizable forms to an application that will appear when a particular action is made.

New system settings will allow managers to effectively brand their admissions system on institution websites and increase communication with prospects, including custom header and footers and social media integration to integrate system announcements with Facebook and Twitter.

Enhanced password features were added in the company’s ongoing effort to provide utmost security and safety of sensitive information as well as to comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.

Other enhancements to the system include picklist archiving with a batch tool and enhanced forms configuration.

“With each update of Ascend, we strive to simplify the admissions process for our clients so that they can focus on what really matters: engaging and enrolling more best-fit students,” said Felicity Osowski, product support specialist lead for Ascend at Symplicity.
