Job Description
Symplicity is looking for a Digital Content Associate to join our creative, fast-paced Marketing team.
The Digital Content Associate will work closely with our Sales, Client Services and Design teams, as well as our clients and users, to curate compelling, user-centric content, such as student success stories, written and video testimonials and more. The Digital Content Associate will work very closely and regularly with the full Marketing team to develop content strategy for Symplicity websites, social media, email marketing, digital advertising and events.
We need a creative and organized self-starter with strong communications skills and excellent attention to detail who can work well inside a team. Previous experience with digital media is required. Some travel is required.
Job Duties
- Producing content for client web properties, social media properties and email campaigns.
- Conducting regular student and client user outreach to engage and build new user-driven content.
- Assisting with building content strategy.
- Working across internal teams to coordinate content production and presentation.
- Supporting colleagues to ensure the full team is best prepared for success.
- Producing detailed reports on social media activity for staff and clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience working with digital media, content management and related tools.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong writing and editing background.
- Comfortable with regular outreach to student users and higher ed clients via phone, email or in-person on campus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic HTML.
- Fluency with social media platforms and technologies.
- Detail-oriented, organized, diplomatic team-player.
- Creative, enthusiastic and confident when confronting new and complex challenges.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience and comfort with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Experience with video production and/or video editing preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required: Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations preferred.
